We understand the uncertainty in the world right now and want to make sure everyone can get the information for the Middlefield build, without leaving the safety of their home. Below are links to learn more about the project, homeownership, volunteering, donating and the ReStore:

  • 171 Hubbard Street, Middlefield Project (please add hyperlink this to the project page)| Middlesex Habitat for Humanity (MHFH) purchased 171 Hubbard Street, a house in desperate need of renovation, from the town of Middlefield, in June of 2020. Renovations are scheduled to begin in the fall of 2020.

The Middlefield House Renovation will be our second Veteran Build. A homeowner search will begin in September of 2020.

  • Become a Homeowner (please add hyperlink “Become a Homeowner”) | The Middlefield home has been designated for a Military Homeowner. Please reach out to Sarah Bird at 860-398-6485 or sbird@habitatmiddlesex.org if you are past or present military and would like to learn more about becoming a homeowner.
  • Volunteering (please add hyperlink to Volunteer home page) | Middlesex Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with God and families in need. We have both construction and non-construction volunteer opportunities available. There is no need to be an expert in construction to help on a work site. All that is required is a willingness and desire to contribute alongside others.
  • Team Build Days & Sponsorships (please add hyperlink to Groups – //www.habitatmiddlesex.org/volunteer/groups/) | Team Builds with Middlesex Habitat for Humanity provide a unique, fun, and rewarding experience for any group. No previous construction skills are needed, and Habitat will provide the tools and training you need for success. Join us for a meaningful experience your employees will never forget! If you are interested in having a Team Build Day, please contact Maria Lopez via email or phone: 860-398-6483.
  • Donate (please add hyperlink to donate home page) | Nothing is free at MHFH; it takes the generosity of people like you to complete house builds and renovations. If you are interested in offering in-kind donations or services, please reach out to Curtis Weybright at cweybright@habitatmiddlesex.org.

We are actively fundraising for the Middlefield Veterans Build. Each gift you make provides tremendous benefits to a military family in need of decent shelter. Your donation of any size will keep the momentum going.  Monetary donations can be made online or by mail.
