Organizations, businesses and individuals have made donations of $50,000-$75,000 to be a Habitat House Sponsor . This is an excellent way to give back to the community, involve members or employees in a meaningful project, and see your contribution make a real difference in someone's life. Many organizations have chosen to be Partial House Sponsors by donating $5,000-$35,000. Time spent together as an organization working toward the common goal of creating a home for a family in need is rewarding on many levels. Sponsors that have participated with us have found that working on a Habitat project boosts morale, encourages resourcefulness, and most of all, provides the satisfaction of meeting a real need in a tangible way. Middlesex Habitat for Humanity's goal is to build or renovate 2-4 houses a year in each of the next five years.
In this, our 12th year, we are launching new giving programs that will benefit donors and Habitat families alike. In order to do this, we need to raise at least $100,000 per house!

Typical Habitat house costs are:

Land and infrastructure costs $25,000-$55,000 per house (sometimes land is donated or sold at a reduced price and donor gets a tax benefit)

Construction costs $60,000-$90,000 per house (some offset by in-kind donations of materials and labor)

Project oversight $15,000 per house

The Sponsor Giving programs listed to the right will help us to establish a land bank: a revolving fund for Habitat to purchase land, and to fund house construction costs, infrastructure and MHFH's ability to buy and build houses for the next 10 years and beyond!
