HABITAT FOR HUMANITY IN MIDDLESEX COUNTY is always seeking individuals who are interested in volunteering
to help support our mission to eliminate substandard housing. We are recruiting volunteers to work at the Middlesex Habitat for Humanity's RESTORE.
Our RESTORE sells new and slightly used building materials, appliances, furniture, and other household items
to help raise money to support our mission. We seek to eliminate substandard housing one house and one family at a time.
To do this, we need volunteers like YOU to work at our new location!
Volunteers will help process donations, assist customers and staff with other store operations, and serve as cashiers.
The greatest part about working the ReStore is that NO EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED!
All you need is a willingness to serve. We will train you! Come join us today and become part of the growing Middlesex Habitat for Humanity family.
Help us in our mission to end substandard housing!
The RESTORE is located at 34 Shunpike Road in Cromwell, Connecticut (06416).
Please contact us at (860) 788-6483 or contact Christopher Aresco at (860) 398-6491 if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
You can also register on-line.
The Cashier's primary goal is to complete transactions to ensure the sale of ReStore items in an efficient and friendly manner. To help ensure that the store runs smoothly, cashiers may be asked to focus on other light duties, such as answering phone calls, greeting customers upon entry, etc.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
The CSR is asked to greet customers upon entry and help guide them throughout the store according to their needs. All CSRs should be willing to field customers' questions and answer them to the best of their ability. Finally, if possible, CSRs should also be willing to help or find helpers to assist in the moving of merchandise at time of sale.
The Driver's Assistant's primary role is to accompany the ReStore Driver during pick-ups and assist in the handling and moving of heavy or awkward merchandise. The Driver's Assistant, in this capacity, will help in the loading, unloading, and moving of donations/merchandise, and any other duties assigned by the ReStore Driver.
The PA will work alongside the ReStore Manager in pricing all merchandise before it reaches the show room floor. When necessary, the PA will also serve the role of either CRS or ReStore Manager to ensure that all tasks assigned by the manager are completed before the end of the day.
